3468146088 615f88947d m Wedding Candy Bars are the Path to Adventure

Usually when I get to a wedding reception I’m already ecstatic for the couple being married, but the moment I see a wedding candy bar in the room my eyes light up and signal my brain it will be a sugar filled and gluttonous night. I can’t help but give high praise to the couple for knowing how to provide such delightful wedding favors for their hundreds of guests. What better to indulge the insatiable sweet tooth that with the manna from heaven, a wedding candy bar?

Many people out there are excited to receive the flower arrangements placed on the table so that they could take them home and display them for all to see. That’s really way too much commitment in my opinion. I really can’t be bothered with transporting an overzealous tablescape to only worry about one more thing to water at home. Just point me in the direction of the wedding candy bar and I’m set. All you really need to send me home with is an intense sugar rush and euphoric pleasure that comes from that wedding candy bar.

You see, I’m not the type to stay in my seat for the entirety of the reception. Sure I mingle and talk to other guests there. What easier excuse can I use to get up from the table just to escape sitting next to middle-aged drunk man who came stag to the wedding reception? I can casually get up and head over to the wedding candy bar and no one would be the wiser. I can stand there and ponder about the combination of sweets I can make at the wedding candy bar. Would personalized M&M’s pair well with black licorice? Of course they don’t, black licorice is the nastiest candy in the world. Personalized M&M’s should match with the candied lychees at the end of the row. There are the chocolate turtles eyeing me with those beady nut eyes. No, but I must save that confectionary for its own meal. Those chocolate turtles deserve it. This time, I need something a bit more fruity in nature and easy enough to share. I find my treasure in some gummy worms and start my trek back from the wedding candy bar.

On the way back I see my old college buddy and stop to converse to him about the greatness of these wedding favors the bridal party has opted for. He, being crazy for anything sweet, expresses how he has already visited the wedding candy bar six times before his cute little sister told him to not look like such an addict. Naturally, I took her side on the matter even though I was close to double digits for the number of times I walked to that sugary heaven. Not to be controlled by his sibling, he took off from his table and headed to fill another bag with edible wedding favors.

With him gone, I took my chance with his twenty three year old sister and chatted with her for a few minutes. I offered some of my gummy worms to her and she exchanged with some from her own stash. Black licorice, truly it is the bane of my existence. It hadn’t occurred to me that something would actually pick those accursed straws of poison. What did it matter though? She was cute and we were starting to hit it off at a wedding reception of all places. Numbers were exchanged and I resumed my journey from the wedding candy back and back to table twelve.

I was dreading what would happen when I get back to the table with my seat assigned next to Captain Morgan himself. From where I was, it started to look like he was hitting on one of the other ladies at the table much to her discomfort. I just used my wedding candy bar excuse and it wouldn’t look right to make another run for at least another half hour. I inhaled deep and lowered myself into the chair hoping Jack Daniels would be too preoccupied trying to bring home his own wedding favor for the night. He turned to me wanting a pen so he could write his number down for the lady but to my luck he eyes the wedding gift I had assembled from the wedding candy bar.

The captain expressed his childlike wonderment at the cute little candy filled bag I have in my hand and asked, “Where did you get that?” To which I handily replied, “Over at the wedding candy bar on the opposite side of the room.” It’s not hard to see how the sight of some Jordan Almonds makes people want to grab some as well. Johnnie Walker here shifts his attention to procuring himself a bag of his own and clumsily excused himself from the table. The lady he was formerly conversing with thanks me for shifting the guy’s attention to the wedding candy bar providing her with a few minutes of relief.

And as Mr. Morgan puked on some suit three tables away, I sat happily with my eighth wedding favor of the night and giggle to myself. Wedding candy bars really do make these wedding receptions better. Sometimes though, they dont quite satisfy my taste buds suffciently, and so i’m required to hit up the a trusted online candy store.

3610113731 678f9e7f79 m Wedding Insurance: What Does It Entail?

Your wedding is supposed to be the happiest day of your life – but organising it could be one of the most stressful experiences you’ve ever had to go through. The list of things you have to organise can seem never-ending: from booking a venue and choosing a dress to arranging a photographer and caterers. On top of that, you actually have to send out the invitations! With so much to think about, it’s no surprise that so many brides and grooms forget to purchase wedding insurance.

The average wedding is now estimated to cost over £21,000 and, with so much at stake, it’s crucial to make sure that your investment is protected. After all, while you might not want to consider the possibility of something going wrong, there’s always the chance that a sudden accident, illness or – in the worst cases – bereavement might force you to cancel or postpone your celebrations. With a comprehensive wedding insurance policy in place, you may be able to recoup these costs. Before you purchase wedding insurance, however, it’s important to make sure you know what’s covered and how much of it applies to your situation.

Most standard wedding insurance policies will cover cancellation and rearrangement of your wedding or reception, as well as any damage that many occur to the wedding dress or the groom’s attire. In addition, many policies will provide protection for photos needing to be retaken, non-appearance by the caterer and loss of wedding rings – all common problems that have the potential to destroy your big day. Better still, if your gift list includes high value items – such as crystal ornaments, expensive cookware or an LCD television – it’s prudent to ensure that your wedding insurance offers sufficient protection for your wedding presents.

At the same time, you should be aware of what your wedding insurance policy does not provide for. For example, while you may receive cover for cancellation of your wedding due to an accident, illness or bereavement, you probably won’t be protected if you and your partner simply decide you no longer want to get married. It’s also unlikely that you’ll receive cover for damage caused to your wedding cake by vermin, marquee damage during erection or dismantling, or theft from unattended wedding vehicles.

If you’re planning a modest celebration with a small outlay, you may not think you need wedding insurance. However, most wedding insurers offer varying levels of cover from which you can choose – so smaller weddings can opt for lower tiers and large bashes have the choice of more protection.

In the long term, paying for wedding insurance is likely to be a sound investment. For instance, if you should have to postpone your wedding and you lose the deposit on your venue, you’ll be able to claim this cost back on your policy, for which you’ve paid just a fraction of that amount. And with this financial safety net in place, you’ll enjoy some valuable peace of mind in the run-up to your magical celebration.

All About Destination Weddings

Posted by Admin

4250929403 d065b981de m All About Destination Weddings

A destination wedding idea sounds very romantic. A couple chooses one of many paradise countries and decides to exchange their vows there. Later, they realize that planning a destination wedding is not an easy task.

Practically, destination weddings combine a wedding ceremony and a honeymoon. Guests may join the couple several days before the wedding and spend some time together in a seashore villa, medieval castle or nice hotel. Later, the couple usually stays alone in the romantic gateway and the guests come back home.

It`s possible to rent a small castle or several rooms in the castle for the wedding event, making it a very intimate party for both close friends and family. The most popular of these castles are located in Florence, Tuscany and are surrounded by grape and fruit gardens in the low mountains. The ceremony can be made in many variations. These are some of the options: an event on the open air near the pool or in the garden, a ceremony in the old small church near the castle, or a wedding ceremony in the small chapel or the gorgeous hall, which connected with villa.

Some couples rent romantic places even for just the two of them, where they spend several days together in a nice and idealistic atmosphere. They ask wedding planners to organize a wedding ceremony, which is arranged, similar to Romeo and Juliet, just for two.

Some may prefer a city ceremony, for example in Rome or Paris. A range of historical locations are available in this case – ancient churches, basilicas or famous halls for the memorable event. Dinner parties may be perfectly organized in 5 – star hotels.

The correct timing of a wedding is very important, especially for an outdoor wedding. Weather forecast research is a very significant task, which should be done before the wedding date planning. As example, it is warm in Italy April through July and August is the hottest month, which is not recommended for weddings. But in some years July in Italy was unusually hot and August was more comfortable.

All documents and paperwork, including visas and passports, are necessary for the wedding and should be checked at the start of the process (6-9 months before the wedding). So, preparation of the paperwork for a wedding ceremony in a Roman Catholic Church in Italy may take time – from two to seven months.

Most Roman Catholic Church documents must be created in the home country and then finished in Italy. It is necessary for both the bride and groom to arrive several extra days before the wedding to wrap up the last of the paperwork. If religions of the bride and groom are different, it may take extra time for preparation as a result the additional statements/documentation.

Wedding planners usually help with paperwork and other different services, such as wedding flowers, photographer, videography, limousine and more. The wedding planner can also plan everything down to the last detail. Before they can move forward, it will still be the bride and groom’s responsibility to make all the decisions. Both the wedding planner and the couple, (and sometimes the parents) work together toward the best result – a magnificent wedding.

1808985485 3b3f15186c m Invitations and Party Ideas For Everything That Comes Before the Wedding

Congratulations! You’re engaged. Now what? Now you start planning for your wedding and the best party of your life. But even before that, you need to get ready for months of parties, events and announcements for you and your fiancé.

Your engagement

Plan on letting your family and close know about your engagement with a phone call. Beyond that, you should put an engagement announcement in the mail and perhaps even in the paper. Traditionally, the groom’s parents will host an engagement party – handling the details – hosting, location, engagement party invitations, etc. However, these days, tradition doesn’t always dictate what will actually happen. Your friends may want to throw you an engagement celebration. Or, don’t be afraid to host your own engagement party. Since you haven’t settled on wedding invitations or wedding stationery, pick engagement invitations that suit your taste and style; if your subsequent stationery matches great, if not, that is fine, too.

Save the date

Once you set the wedding date, you’ll have to let everyone know. Before you send the wedding save the dates out, make sure you have picked out, asked and confirmed a few things: your wedding party should be set – asked and responded. Your wedding location and time should also be set. A definite wedding list should be done before a single save the date hits the post office. If a guest receives a save the date, they will be expecting a wedding invitation. If a guest receives a save the date and lets you know they won’t be able to make it then it is acceptable to move them from the ‘wedding invitation’ list to the ‘wedding announcement’ list. Your save the date should also include preliminary flight, airline, airport, transportation and hotel information. If you don’t have all the details make sure to note that this information is ‘to follow.’

Bridal Shower

Your maid of honor and bridesmaids should be involved in planning party for you, but feel free to give your input if you’re asked. This is your friends’ chance to throw a party for you, so don’t plan on having much of a say in this occasion. You’re a guest, the guest of honor – let your bridesmaids fuss over you a little. Don’t worry about your bridal shower invitations matching your wedding stationery – in most cases they don’t. This party is for you and your girls to get together and have fun before you get married. Typically, your bridal shower is a separate occasion from your bachelorette party, but they can be combined also.

The wedding invitation

This is the big hurdle. Once your invitation is in the mail, you’ll have only six to eight weeks until you get married. Choosing your invitation is a big decision, so make sure you compare and make the right decision. When sending out your invitations you should also make sure you’ve included up-to-date accommodation and travel information, adequate postage and correct wording. It bears repeating: an e-invitation to your wedding is never acceptable. Take the time to invite your guests either by postal mail or hand delivery. Also, the mention of gifts or registry is never, ever appropriate in your wedding invitation. Traditionally, this information is communicated through word of mouth or on your wedding website.

The bachelorette party

This is one last chance to get together with your bridesmaids and girlfriends for either a night on the town, a shopping spree, a spa treatment or just a night in for some laughs. One word of advice – if you are having your bachelorette party the night before the wedding, keep it tame. A late night, excessive alcohol or a new skin treatment could show up unfavorably in your wedding photos. If you’re going to cut loose, give yourself a few days before your wedding.

The big day

You should only have a few tasks on this day. You’ll have to look beautiful, walk down the aisle, day ‘I do’ and than have a great reception. One important job you need to assign to a friend or family member is the mailing of your wedding announcements. Typically, these go in the mail the morning of the wedding. Wedding announcements are meant for anyone who wasn’t invited to the wedding.

Thank-you notes

After the vows and the honeymoon, you still have one more task. Make sure you get your thank-you notes in the mail for your gifts, well-wishes or anyone who involved in making your big day a success. Some say that you have up to a year to send a thank you note, but why wait? A timely thank-you note is tasteful and elegant.

This is an exciting and hectic time; make sure you take time to enjoy it. There are a lot of milestones to celebrate, not just your wedding, so make sure you don’t miss a minute.

Check out MyExpression for great wedding invitations. You’ll also find a great selection of stylish theme wedding invitations, wedding announcements and wedding stationery.

Online Wedding Planning

Posted by Admin

94331544 9e27f746bc m Online Wedding Planning

The internet has help to revolutionize the way in which couples can carry out their wedding planning. From personal websites, to receiving your RSVP’s online, the World Wide Web has helped many couples breeze through the minefield of wedding planning with a range of virtual solutions to help them stay organized. So what planning tools are available? Here are a few suggestions which you may want to research further.

Wedding Directory Sites

These infinitely useful sites will include a variety of features including articles on wedding planning, honeymoons & anything else wedding related. As the name implies they will also carry a directory of wedding services, vendors & professionals for you to search through. The larger directory sites will cover a whole nation, whilst you may also find regional sites which are often linked to a paper based directory which you can purchase from local retailers. The national sites will include adverts & features from the major retailers such as renowned jewelers, wedding dress designers & travel companies. They will also include regional listings, but may not be as in depth as the smaller regional sites.

My tip is to use a combination of both so that you get the best of both worlds. These sites can provide you with an infinite number of tips & ideas to help you with your wedding planning.

Personalized Wedding Websites

This is a customized website set up by yourselves to not only help your wedding planning, but to also keep guests, members of the wedding party & vendors informed of how your planning is progressing.

There are many sites offering wedding website services, some will charge you a monthly fee, some may charge an outright fee & others may offer a variety of packages, including a free website service. The style of site you choose will depend on how many features you you’re your site to have. They can come fully loaded with online RSVP’s, photo galleries, blog pages & more. They are often set in such as way as anyone can build one in an evening & it will come with it’s own domain name (web address) which can be chosen by you.

You will need to set aside some time each day or at least twice a week to update the site. You will probably find some over eager guests logging in each day just to see what you’ve been up to & if there is anything new to see!

Online Wedding Planning Tools

There are many websites that can offer you a variety of wedding planning tools, these include an online RSVP service – where guests can email you back their reply to your wedding invitation; help with producing your thank you notes, budget planning tools, seating charts, invitation trackers & event management.

All of these tools will help keep your wedding planning in an organized state & without the risk of loosing important bits of paper, phone numbers, dates & prices.

Gift Registries

You can even set up your gift registries online. Many of the large high street stores & those that are solely online retailers will offer this service. Simply register with the site & select the gifts from their product ranges that you would like to receive.

An online gift registry will give you the option of logging in to see who has bought what, what is left on your list & will give you a list of all gifts bought & by whom, which can help with your thank you note writing.

There are of course, those of you who would prefer the old fashioned method of notebook & pen for your wedding planning. For many is may be a preference to feel in control of their wedding preparations, rather letting a cyber world do it for you & there are those who would like the chance to create a keepsake of all the wedding planning in the form of their wedding notebook/scrapbook.

Whatever your personal preference, I would advise you to consider using at least one online wedding planning tool to help make your life easier & less stressful.
