3779569795 07e10530c9 m A Caribbean Honeymoon Vacation In Puerto Rico At The Horned Dorset Primavera

For a Luxury Vacation in Puerto Rico or a Caribbean Honeymoon resort you need not look beyond The Horned Dorset Primavera.

A tiny, very secret near perfect Puerto Rico honeymoon vacation spot is a very good description for the world class Horned Dorset which is to be found on the quiet as yet undeveloped west coast of Costa Rico, situated in 8 acres on a hillside. Many people believe that not only is the Horned Dorset’s restaurant the finest in the Caribbean, but the guest rooms rate amongst the finest as well.

You will find 22 villas all whitewashed scattered around the tropical gardens in such a way as to guarantee privacy, and also done in such a way as to resemble a Meditteranean village. The villas retain their privacy even whilst you are swimming in your own private plunge pool or relaxing outside, where the views of the sunset are remarkable, and contribute in no small way to the acceptance that Horned Dorset is the most luxurious Puerto Rican hotel. In fact probably at the very top end of luxury hotels in the whole of the Caribbean.

No children under twelve years of age contributes to the ambiance, as does the sheer quality of the furnishings in each of the two story suites, from hand carved mahogany tables to four poster beds, to the marble bathrooms with a tub big enough for two. By the way there is a second bath downstairs to get the sand off, after a beach walk.

When you add no radio or television then you can see why the Horned Dorset Inn is such a romantic Caribbean honeymoon spot.

The Horned Dorset Primavara is a combination of luxury, exclusivity and fine dining, and that would probably summarize this unique Caribbean Honeymoon resort better than anything else. If you want an amazing beach, nightly entertainment, a local town with restaurants then don’t come here for your luxury Puerto Rico Vacation Package.

If you are hesitant to book your Caribbean Honeymoon Vacation at a place that includes all meals then don’t be, for the meals you will eat at The Horned Dorset at Restaurant Aaron will surpass even your wildest expectations. Breakfast is served al fresco in The Veranda overlooking the Caribbean , on the terrace of the Blue Room or in your suite, and Room Service is available throughout the day.

The Horned Dorset is just a world away from your typical Caribbean Resort, and completely lacks any hustle and bustle. In fact there is nothing organized at all for you to do, so you can entertain yourself as you wish, although of course if you are on your Caribbean Honeymoon Vacation then this will probably be exactly what you want.

You can swim in the pool, walk on the beach, although not at high tide when it ceases to exist. You can enjoy the beautiful grounds or ask reception to arrange for most things from golf to deep sea fishing, to visiting an old coffee plantation.

In reality The Horned Dorset is specifically designed for couples who want to be alone together for either a romantic Caribbean honeymoon or just away from the bustle of the real world.

Peter Stewart writes about in Kenya Safaris as well as Worldwide Vacation Spots He also recommends Travel Tennis a great Game to play on Holiday.

Caribbean Wedding: Memorable Moments

Posted by Admin

523770736 5d9eaa518c m Caribbean Wedding: Memorable Moments

With more and more couples opting to escape the high costs and stresses of a large and elaborate wedding, the trend of getting married abroad is an increasingly popular one, with the Caribbean still topping the list as one of the most popular destinations for an overseas wedding. Many fall in love with the idea of the tropical setting and backdrop which make for the most romantic of wedding photos, but on investigating the possibilities further, find they are overwhelmed on where to start in trying to arrange the kind of wedding they envisaged. Perhaps the only concept they have of a Caribbean wedding is going to a “Sandals” resort which offers a standard package and often conveyor belt style of wedding, which can leave some couples feeling less than “special” on their big day.

However, with more couples now wishing to combine a truly memorable wedding day with a holiday of a lifetime, perhaps even taking additional family and friends with them to celebrate their big day, finding the right location and the right property where you can truly feel unique on your wedding day may mean looking for truly specialist advice and assistance.

This need has been recognized by Culsen Travel, an independent tour operator based in Bedfordshire. They exclusively feature the Caribbean and specialize in weddings and honeymoons. The company is owned by a couple who have had firsthand experience of marrying in the Caribbean. Five years ago they traveled to the island of Tobago along with 40 guests and enjoyed not only a wonderful wedding day but a memorable large family holiday. “Having experienced getting married in the Caribbean ourselves, we appreciated that it can be very difficult to find anyone who caters for this kind of specialist area. Many couples would like the option of taking a large number of guests with them and perhaps having the kind of wedding they would have had here, but in a Caribbean setting, and at a fraction of the cost, but most holiday companies do not cater for this kind of wedding party”, says Director of Products & Sales & Wedding Planner, Stephanie Morson.

Culsen Travel have therefore established themselves as a travel company who can not only recommend the right island for you, but also the perfect accommodation on the island of your choice, ranging from small boutique hotels, to large resorts or private villas ranging from 2-9 bedrooms with private pools or beachfront locations, often fully staffed, and ideal for larger wedding parties who wish to stay together or even providing a wedding venue within the more private setting of the villa grounds. They feature 10 islands and know these islands and the properties they feature well, and are therefore able to provide firsthand information on what will suit their client’s needs.

With regards to the wedding Culsen Travel offer three styles of weddings:

Hotel & Resort Weddings – the most popular type of wedding, as most hotels offer their own wedding package with a dedicated location within the property for holding a ceremony and have their own wedding coordinator who will take care of arrangements. These weddings are most suited to couples who want a small, simple and inexpensive wedding at the hotel where they have opted to stay, as some hotels even offer a Free Wedding for couples staying for a minimum period of time or booking a certain number of rooms for their wedding party, or staying at certain times of year.

Villa Weddings – Culsen Travel specialise in featuring a range of private villas on 6 of the islands in our programme. These villas offer guests the benefits of space, comfort and privacy and are therefore the perfect location for couples looking for an alternative to a hotel resort wedding. They are often fully staffed and located in beautiful landscaped gardens or directly on the beach, making the ideal backdrop for a small intimate ceremony or a large private wedding with full reception party, and Culsen Travel have independent wedding co-ordinators on each of these islands who will look after every detail for your special day, from arranging the minister to choosing your flower arrangements and organising your catering, the cake and your guest entertainment.

Bespoke Weddings – You may be looking for a wedding venue which offers an alternative Caribbean setting to a resort beach or villa grounds, if so Culsen Travel can arrange for your ceremony and private reception party to take place in a unique location such at a historical plantation house, at a natural beauty spot such as within botanical gardens or the rainforest, onboard a private yacht, at a local church or even at a World Heritage site. Once again their on-island wedding planners will take care of all the details.

Culsen Travel can recommend the island, property and ideal wedding venue to suit you, and put the arrangements in place to offer a more tailor-made service to couples for their special day. They also have a selection of villas and hotels which they recommend for a Caribbean honeymoon. Check out their website on www.culsentravel.com or call Stephanie on 01582 729333. You can also visit them at the special forthcoming Wedding Fayre which will be themed around Caribbean Weddings.

Stephanie has completed her MBA in Tour and hospitality sector and currently working as an experienced author for Culsen travel. She is contributing her knowledge on Travel and hospitality, caribbean holiday, caribbean wedding. To know more about her please login www.culsentravel.com.

One of the best places to take your newly betrothed on a honeymoon is the Caribbean. With literally hundred of islands to choose from there is a little of something for everyone in this tropical paradise. Sun drenched beaches, warm crystal waters, friendly people, and a relaxed atmosphere make these islands the perfect romantic getaway. And if you make your plans right you can easily find Caribbean honeymoon deals that can meet even the tightest of budgets.

This is where a lot of honeymooners make a mistake because it is possible to travel to the Caribbean on a budget. And with the expense and craziness of the wedding saving some money on your honeymoon can be a big bonus.

Doing your research and planning well in advance of your planned travel date is the first key to finding good deals. Skipping this step and making your arrangements the week of the wedding are a sure way to spend a whole lot more then you need to. If you take the time to plan your Caribbean honeymoon along side your wedding plans you can be sure that you won’t be disappointed.

The first step in the research and planning stage is to figure out which Caribbean island you would like to visit and what resort choices are available. For this you can simply do internet searches and learn as much about your destination choice and price points for accommodations, meals, activities and so forth. Many resorts offer all inclusive honeymoon packages which can be a great way to not only save money but reduce the stress and hassle of planning every thing.

You will also want to use the internet to find reviews of your destination. This can be a great way to learn about your destination and find out how other people liked their experience. You can also find money saving tips from people who have already traveled to your chosen location. This can help you narrow your search by sticking to those resorts with positive reviews.

Here’s another mistake people make that ends up costing them money. Once you have your Caribbean honeymoon destination picked out book your reservations well in advance. Most destination resorts offer discounts for those who book early. Three to four months in advance is usually a good rule of thumb because the Caribbean is an extremely popular tourist destination.

If you keep these things in mind as your wedding day approaches you stand a good chance of finding some Caribbean honeymoon deals to choose from. And once your decision is made you can rest assured that you will a truly romantic getaway as you begin your life together.

All Inclusive Caribbean Honeymoons

Posted by Admin

2793925356 1681393588 m All Inclusive Caribbean Honeymoons

Probably one of the most appealing honeymoons for most people is a trip to a tropical Caribbean island. And one of the easiest ways for the soon to be newlyweds to plan their after wedding trip is to look at all inclusive Caribbean honeymoons. There is one little problem though.

How do you choose which Caribbean island you want to spend your honeymoon on? After all, there are over 7000 Caribbean islands that you can choose from. Well not all 7000, not all of them are inhabited, but that’s still a lot of possible destinations to choose from. And each of these islands, whether big or small, has its own cultural flavor that will have an appeal for just about everyone. And the best part is almost all the islands boast at least one all inclusive resort that is ideal for a honeymoon.

There are three easy steps to follow when it comes to planning an all inclusive Caribbean honeymoon.

1. Choose an Island – As mentioned above there is a lot to choose from but somewhere in that group of islands is one that will be a perfect fit for the newlywed couple. With such a wide diversity of islands available no matter what the couple likes to do they will find one that fits what they are looking for. Of course all of them are great if you like lounging on the beach, enjoying water sports and just plain relaxing.

If you are looking for the total Caribbean honeymoon experience then Jamaica may be the way to go. It is a big island with large cities that offer everything more metropolitan areas are known for, including shopping and clubbing until all hours of the morning. You can also get away from it all by taking hikes in lush tropical forests and climbing warm cascading waterfalls with deep plunge pools for swimming. Jamaica also has an abundance of all inclusive resorts that make honeymoon planning very simple.

If intimacy and seclusion are more of what is needed then any of the number of smaller islands will fit the bill. Culebra and Dominica are two such islands that are off the beaten path. There isn’t a whole lot to do there other than enjoy the warm Caribbean waters and lounge the days away in blissful peace with each other.

2. Choose an All Inclusive Resort – Just as there are many islands to choose from so are there resorts to choose from. One thing to look for is adults only or couples only resorts that cater exclusively to couples getting away for romantic holidays. You can also be assured that if you do choose a couples only resort that you will not have to deal with families and rambunctious kids during this romantic time together.

3. Get packing – Once the reservations are set and the trip is paid for all you have to do is get your bags packed and ready to go. That’s the beauty of all inclusive Caribbean honeymoons; everything is included in the price of the package. This includes meals, drinks, resort activities, beach privileges and water sports, entertainment and a whole lot more.

Taking all inclusive Caribbean honeymoons is easy. The hard part is figuring out which island to go to and then ultimately which resort offers the amenities and activities, or lack thereof, the newlywed couple is interested in. But no matter which island and resort you choose taking a Caribbean honeymoon at an all inclusive resort is one of the most romantic and intimate settings you can find.

Are you ready to take a Caribbean honeymoon? If you are and you need more information about all inclusive Caribbean honeymoons check out the website Honeymoon Destinations.

22289037 5cfe1eb24a m A Top Caribbean All Inclusive Honeymoon Resort On St Lucia

Looking for the very top Romantic Caribbean Honeymoon Resort, that is properly all inclusive with no expense spared, and you are keen to go to St Lucia, then there really is no option but to pick the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort. This is a top St Lucia Luxury Resort in its own right and for no other reason than that it is worth choosing.

Sometimes couples are slightly put off by the name Sandals, and also Couples Only, because of the advertising seen all over the world a few years ago that made places like Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort look as if they were only for beautiful people, and it would be all party games and wild behaviour, and certainly not suitable for a young couple as a Caribbean Honeymoon Resort.

The truth of the matter is dramatically different. The Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort is to put it simply an absolutely top class resort, that just happens to be Couples Only, and Sandals.

It lies on the northern tip of St Lucia on a spit of land linking St Lucia with Pigeon Island, and it has panoramic views of Rodney Bay on one side and the considerably wilder Atlantic Ocean on the other. The rooms are luxurious in the extreme, all the furniture is mahogany, and they are decorated with colourful fabrics. Twenty four of the lagoon edge rooms have swim up verandas, and the lagoon style swimming pool is quite the best on St Lucia.

The facilities of this romantic honeymoon resort are quite incredible and varied. There are six restaurants, six bars, five outdoor pools, four whirlpools, a night club, golf privileges, four tennis courts, a health club, fitness centre, sauna and spa. Add to this deep sea fishing, diving, and the use of kayaks, windsurfers, sailboats. There is water skiing[costs extra], snorkelling. The list whilst not quite endless is certainly impressive, and perfect for a great Caribbean honeymoon for all action couples.

Whilst there is no doubting the overall quality of the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort, there is even more. If you can afford it, bearing in mind that being an all inclusive honeymoon resort, so what you pay up front leaves no nasty surprises at the end, you should upgrade your accommodation to the fourth floor, concierge level, or in one of the beachside rondavels, complete with plunge pool and Jacuzzi outside. Having your own butler just adds to the romantic feel, and you are certainly brilliantly and personally looked after, including private transfers.

As a Caribbean Honeymoon resort, be prepared for wedding after wedding after wedding, and also realize that as a honeymoon couple you are one of dozens and dozens, so perhaps you won’t be made to feel as special as if you were the only honeymoon couple in a hotel.

Despite that fact the Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort is just the ideal Caribbean Honeymoon All Inclusive Resort, right down to the Premium Label Drinks, and the helpful Butler. If you can’t enjoy this Couple Only St Lucia Luxury Resort then there’s probably not much hope for you!!

2793098511 4f233d06f8 m A Honeymoon in the Caribbean

Weddings are obviously special occasions and couples often dream of the perfect setting through the ceremony as well as the following honeymoon. There are things known as the “best honeymoon” whose definition undergoes a sharp revision with changes in taste and the political situations in the so called ideal honeymoon locations. However, one such spot has always been standing solid as the perfect spot for honeymoon couples and that is the Caribbean.

A Caribbean honeymoon means traveling to a spot of the world where the calm seas and wonderful beaches only add to the pleasure of the company you have with all of nature in perfect tune with your feelings. When you go to a Caribbean honeymoon you never have to worry about time because being in the Caribbean means that you are free to do what you choose regardless of whatever time-based pressures you might have in your normal every-day life. The tropical and rich Caribbean honeymoon resorts are a great way to start a married life for any couple.

The islands of the Caribbean stretch from the northern coast of Venezuela to South Florida. These islands are all of them romantic and great places to visit for a honeymoon. While you are there, apart from taking in the beautiful sunsets and the beaches you can also take part in other activities like hiking and snorkeling, or you could simply go for a walk along the Caribbean Sea at any time you wish. There are several islands that you may choose from including Antigua, Aruba, Punta Cana, Jamaica, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos. It does not matter where you plan your Caribbean honeymoon, as all of the islands are a perfect delight.

One of the most popular spots in the Bahamas is the world-renowned Cable Beach. Other popular places include the Wyndham Nassau Resort and the Crystal Palace Casino, both of which are excellent choices for a Caribbean honeymoon. If you and your partner like healthy organic foods then you should serious consider the Parrot Cay at Turks & Caicos where you can find a good mix of Mediterranean and Asian foods.

You should shop around among the various Caribbean honeymoon resorts that offer options like ocean views, daily breakfast and dinner, French Champagne, health cults, Yoga classes, snorkeling and other water sports, spas, and so on. Just a little bit of browsing will enable you to pick the perfect Caribbean honeymoon from among the several choices that are available.

James Penn runs a highly informative Caribbean website which details exactly how to find cheap Caribbean cruises and also the ten best activities in the Caribbean for families and couples alike.

91218389 8e5d55e385 m How to Prepare For Your Caribbean Honeymoon

While your honeymoon will be an exciting experience, preparing for your trip can often bring as much stress as planning the wedding. The potential destination is often the first thing couples consider and millions of newlyweds have found the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation, activities and impeccable weather in the Caribbean. If you are in search of an exotic honeymoon destination like so many couples are, look no further than the accessible and affordable Caribbean. As you begin making preparations for your Caribbean honeymoon, follow the timeline presented here as you organize for your once-in-a-lifetime voyage.

At Least Six Months Before Your Caribbean Honeymoon

* Establish the budget for your Caribbean vacation.

* Begin researching Caribbean destinations by talking to family and friends, searching the internet, reading travel literature or consulting a travel agent.

* After deciding on your destination, start booking your flight and reserving accommodations.

* If you are also planning a destination wedding in the Caribbean, check the marriage requirements of your destination. In the earlier stages of planning, you can also begin necessary paperwork or contact a wedding planner at your Caribbean resort.

* If necessary, prepare all of the rentals for your honeymoon. This may include a car, off-road equipment, water sports toys or scuba and snorkeling gear.

Three Months Before Your Caribbean Honeymoon

* Secure your visas or passports, if necessary for travel to your Caribbean destination.

* If you are visiting the Caribbean during peak travel season (November-April), begin making reservations for popular restaurants, shows and recreation tours.

* If you anticipate needing several reservations or additional assistance for your Caribbean honeymoon, contact the concierge at your resort and explain your desired itinerary. Don’t forget to tip your concierge when you arrive.

* Consider pursuing a scuba certification at home and potentially practicing the sport before visiting the Caribbean. By gaining some experience, you will be able to participate in more challenging, which often means more captivating, dives.

One Month before Your Caribbean Honeymoon

* Develop a packing list, accounting for all the unique items you might need in the Caribbean.

* If you are planning a bridal shower, fill your want list with items you can use for your Caribbean honeymoon.

* Create a shopping list for the items you don’t already have and don’t anticipate receiving as gifts.

* Confirm that all of your reservations are correct by checking with your resort, airline and any tour operators or rental companies.

One Week before Your Caribbean Honeymoon

* Print your airline tickets or pick them up from your travel agent. Keep the tickets and your travel information in a safe, but easily accessible location until travel day.

* If you plan on using travelers’ checks in the Caribbean, purchase some through your bank. You may also want to consider exchanging a small amount of cash for your destination’s currency to help cover immediate expenses upon arrival.

* Rather than packing your bulky guidebooks, copy the pages you need and organize a folder to match your itinerary.

* If you have prescriptions, make sure you have enough for your honeymoon.

* Make copies of your passports, credit cards and insurance information. In the event that your wallet or purse is lost, the copies saved in your luggage or with a friend or relative could alleviate plenty of headaches.

Three Days before Your Caribbean Honeymoon

* Begin preparing your bags and shop for the items on your list.

* Make arrangements for airport transportation, both at home and at your honeymoon destination.

* Talk to your concierge about any needs you might have for your hotel room, such as champagne or other romantic touches.

* Check the weather forecast for your Caribbean destination and pack your bags accordingly.

One Day before Your Caribbean Honeymoon

* Check for updated information regarding your flight.

* Label your bags and ensure that you have everything you need.

* Lastly, and most importantly, relax and prepare yourself for the trip of a lifetime.

2568946641 5c1e43486e m Tips For Planning a Destination Wedding in the Caribbean

Are you gearing up to plan your wedding? Although many couples opt for a traditional wedding back home, you may have another thought. You may want a picture perfect fairytale wedding in the Caribbean. If so, you want a destination wedding. Unfortunately, most couples mistakenly believe destination weddings are not only too costly, but too difficult to plan. Luckily, the entire process can be a lot easier and cheaper than you originally thought. How?

The first step is to decide on an area. The Caribbean includes many islands. Two popular choices include Jamaica and the Bahamas. If you are worried about costs, price compare. If you have a little bit of financial freedom, make your dreams come true. Opt for your first choice. Regardless, you will be presented with luxury hotels, tropical weather, and beautiful beaches!

Next, you must decide on a date. When doing so, give yourself time. Although you will have a Caribbean destination wedding, you still likely want a few close friends and family members to attend. Not only do they get to attend your wedding, but they get their own tropical vacation too! Still, it likely wasn’t a vacation they anticipated on taking; give them a reasonable amount of time to save money. Also, you and your guests need passports. Give these time to arrive too.

Once you have an ideal destination and date in mind, you will start to examine wedding venues. Your first look should be at all-inclusive resorts that offer free weddings. Yes, really free weddings! Many resorts provide guests with a free standard wedding, provided they meet a minimum stay requirement. The stay requirement varies depending on resorts, but it is reasonable, such as a 3-day or 5-day stay.

What else should you look for in a Caribbean resort when planning a destination wedding? The ability to have your wedding onsite. Not only that, but a choice of places. A large resort may give you the option to use their wedding chapel, a banquet room, garden, or their beach. You also want the ability to upgrade your free wedding package. Right away, Caribbean resorts claim you get a “standard wedding.” Look at the inclusions and you will be surprised, because it is actually a lot. Still, have the ability to include a tux rental, in-room hair and make-up, professional photography, and more.

Have your destination wedding double as a Caribbean honeymoon too. As previously stated, many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean give you a free wedding with a minimum 3, 5, or 7-night stay. It will not take that long to plan your wedding, so meet the minimum required stay by combining your wedding and honeymoon. Choose a luxury all-inclusive resort, one with great onsite activities, a mixture of restaurants, and upgrade to a suite. You won’t feel as if you are shortchanging yourself. You still get the honeymoon of your dreams!

Contact the resort in question. To prevent scheduling conflicts, you may want to do this before officially booking your travel arrangements. Let them know you not only want to stay onsite, but have a wedding too. In most cases, you will be put into contact with a wedding planner, even when making use of a Caribbean resort’s free wedding. This wedding planner makes it easier to plan a destination wedding when you are located hundreds or thousands of miles away.

Order destination wedding invitations for your guests. You may also want to include information on area hotels and resorts. As previously stated, your destination wedding guests are unlikely to attend your wedding and leave. Many will use the opportunity to have a tropical vacation. For that reason, it may be a good idea to point them in the direction of other hotels and resorts. Your honeymoon and their Caribbean vacation may overlap. You love your mother, but do you want her sitting next to you at the pool on your honeymoon? Luckily, most free weddings include a couple of guest passes for those staying offsite. Additional passes should be available for sale too.
