My trip to the scenic Sani pass always remind me of the day I went there with a group of French tourists but we arrived at the hotel early morning. Destination weddings are one of the best ways to bring your fairy tale wedding dreams to life. Imagine saying “I do” on an island paradise or overlooking majestic cliffs in Scotland. Many brides shy away from planning destination weddings because they believe it will be too expensive or too big of a headache – this just isn’t the case! In many cases, a destination wedding is easier to plan and can be less expensive than a wedding in your home town!
With family and friends scattered across the country – and the world – we don’t get to see any of them as much as we would like. A destination wedding is the perfect opportunity to catch up with these loved ones. Think of it as a mini vacation with the people you love most! During a typical wedding ceremony and reception, you get to spend a few hours with your friends and family traveling from out of town, while destination weddings offer the opportunity to visit with these folks for a few days.
Destination weddings are the way to go if you are hoping to relax before your wedding. Picture yourself lying on the beach with your bridesmaids on the day before the ceremony – sounds pretty great doesn’t it? Planning a destination wedding is actually far less work than planning a traditional wedding. Many hotels and resorts in popular destination spots offer a wide variety of wedding planning packages and services. Likely you will be able to find one that fits exactly what you need. This means all the small details of your wedding day will be taken care of by knowledgeable hotel or resort staff! The hotel may even give you a discount on rooms for family and friends.
You can save even more by planning your wedding during an “off-season” time. Weddings are usually held from June through September, but having your ceremony in April or October will not make a big difference to the guests, it’ll just knock hundreds of dollars off the final price tag! Also, consider searching out some venues that are away from traditionally touristy areas. Holding your wedding at a tiny, unique venue will give it a personal touch and could save you a lot of money.
Destination or beach wedding accessories are an absolute must! Wedding accessories give your guests a chance to take a little piece of paradise home with them. Look for beach themed wedding favors that match your destination – such as sailboat shaped wedding place card holders and seashell wedding favor boxes – or favors that will forever remind your guests of your special day – like a personalized passport cover.
Don’t forget about the small details of your destination wedding. You will need to contact the local city hall and ask for permission to get married. Some states require blood tests, waiting periods or a certain number of witnesses before you can get a marriage license. Do your research and make sure you know all the rules and regulations before your get to the destination.
The most important part of any wedding is to have fun! No matter where you get married, enjoy the day with your family and friends! They are all there to help you celebrate this new part of your life, so relish the experience of planning your wedding as well as your wedding day.

It will also be amazing if you are having your wedding in front of a waterfall. If you have the courage to do so, you can even have your wedding in front of a historical building in Nepal. Of course you will need to take some time to research for the feasibility in this case. The wedding photos you take will certainly also be amazing. The place you choose for your destination wedding can be at the same time your honeymoon destination. You will find that you can actually save a lot of money because wedding and honeymoon are in the same place.
