I can’t begin to follow why so many women, especially those in the public eye who should want to keep up appearances, will wear such unflattering clothes. With weddings in particular, there are some garments that will make a man not think about every last one of his proposal ideas upon seeing the travesty. A wedding gown should look elegant and matching to a woman’s contours, right? If this is the case, why do so many people lack the eye necessary to separate a tasteful gown from a hideous one?
Maybe this impairment of view has something to do with the way that someone was raised. Perhaps a person’s mother or father has preferences that stretch far out of the reach of what is considered the norm and, as such, the beliefs are passed down from parent to child. Choosing wedding gowns can be a similar thing. For example, a mother would go with her child to a tailor and while the bride may feel iffy on the look, the mother reassures her that she will look like the most delicate flower in the world. Of course, that flower may be a stink-weed in disguise before the veil is lifted.
Sometimes celebrities do not have the best taste in clothes that much should be mentioned. They might be the figures best known in the public eye but you’d do much better contacting a professional. You wouldn’t go to a multiple-time divorcee for proposal ideas, so why get fashion tips from someone who knows little of the matter? Do your research before you search for dresses, such as looking through Bing or Google to see the worst dress designs so that you may have a good idea of what to watch out for.
Don’t think for a second that everyone’s tastes will be the same. Someone who feels like a wedding gown should have a bit more flare to it will alter from someone else who thinks the design on its own is just right. Much of what is recognized as beautiful or ugly is subjective, within the eye of the beholder. With that said mileage may vary depending on who is looking at a certain design so choose what looks best but keep other tastes in mind as to avoid scrutiny.
On the biggest day of their lives, women don’t deserve to stroll down the aisle looking as though they have been dressed by Muppet mutations. They should look like goddesses, everyone in awe of the beauty that they are witnessing. It shouldn’t be difficult to know but somehow females make the choice of wearing unflattering dresses. It could be a choice based on background or what is typical; maybe it can stem from people simply wanting to make a celebrity-like splash themselves.
