How to save money on wedding flowers

Posted by Admin

The prices of weddings are going up and up nowadays. But, most people who are getting married can’t afford to spend all that money on a wedding when they have everyday bills to pay. Being able to save money on your wedding can help you to better your future with your new spouse. You can save money on your wedding and be able to put a down payment on a house or afford to buy another car. One place that it is possible to save money on for a wedding is the wedding flowers. You can still have beautiful flowers for your wedding but not pay a fortune for them.

Choosing flowers that are in season can help you save money on your wedding flowers. The flowers that are in season are a lot cheaper than flowers that have to be flown in from another place or grown specially for you. You can find some very pretty flowers that are available in season, you just have to do your research. Once you know when your wedding is going to be, research or call a florist and see what exact flowers are in season for that time. Then, you can plan what flowers you want for your wedding based around that.

If you have a friend or family member that is very crafty or is good at flower arrangements, see if you have them do your wedding flowers instead of paying a professional florist to do them. This will save you tons of money on your wedding flowers. Instead of going to a florist, see if there is a flower wholesaler near you that you can order all your flowers from. This can save you even more money on flowers. You can then get all your flowers from the wholesaler and have a friend or family member arrange them for you. If the person agrees to help you out, see if they will offer their time for free or maybe it can be their wedding gift to you, so that you do not have to pay them for arranging your wedding flowers. If they are a close friend or family member, they will most likely agree to this arrangement. Imagine how much money you can save on your wedding flowers by not having to pay a professional florist and getting all your flowers from a wholesale shop.

If you have to use a florist, then keep your wedding flowers simple. You may want to go with small bouquets for the bridesmaid and just a plain flower for the groomsmen. If you really have to have extravagant wedding flowers, have them only for the bride’s bouquet and not for everybody. Keep all the rest of the flower arrangements simple.

You can even get fake flowers for actual flower arrangements as this will be a lot cheaper then getting real flowers. Yes, you can mix real flowers and fake flowers at your wedding. Visit your local craft store and you will be amazed at how real the fake flowers look. If you really want flower centerpieces at your wedding or a big arrangement of flowers at your wedding ceremony, then to save money, make them fake flowers. Believe me, no one is going to go and inspect your flowers to see if they are real or fake. Sometimes fake flowers look even better because they will not wilt in the sun or get dried out as the day goes on. And better yet, you can take them home and re-use them for your new house with your spouse!
